International experience

Voronezh State University (VSU) is an old and unique institution renowned for a wealth of study opportunities and research-informed education. It cherishes the traditions of the best academic schools and aims to be the leader in science and innovations. It was founded in 1918. The structure of VSU academic departments includes 18 faculties, 6 research institutes, 16 joint laboratories with the Russian Academy of Sciences. VSU offers academic programmes at all levels including Bachelor, Master, Graduate and Post-graduate courses, Post-doctoral studies, as well as continued learning. All in all, there are 266 study programmes; 89 Master degree programmes; 82 programmes for post-graduate vocational education; 64 professional retraining programme. About 20 000 students including 1 000 foreign students are taught by over 1,500 academic staff. VSU is the home to globally recognized 41 scientific schools, and research hubs devoted to nanosystems and nanomaterials, biomedical science; IT technologies & telecommunication; energy efficiency; radio-electronic technology for the aerospace industry; nuclear energy and technology; social sciences.
The university has vast experience in participating in the EU-funded educational and research programmes (TEMPUS, ERASMUS+ 6 CBHE, 10 JMA). VSU participates in 2 ERASMUS+ CBHE projects, 4 Jean Monnet projects. One of the priority areas for VSU is development of academic collaboration within the scope of international JPs. Currently, the university is running 12 joint degree programmes in cooperation with HEIs in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and Austria in the fields of tourism, economics, international political studies, linguistics, physics, mathematics. The work in this direction is aimed at initiating, preparing, implementing, and monitoring international academic programmes and providing methodological, informational and consultancy support regarding JPs development and implementation.
